Pink Floyd

"Interstellar Overdrive" (13:31)
Unreleased Ummagumma Test Press

Pink Floyd's space epic, "Interstellar Overdrive
," originally intended for the live half of Ummagumma. Reportedly, this recording made it as far as a test pressing before getting yanked from release altogether. Recorded May 2, 1969, at the same Manchester College of Commerce show that produced some of the other live stuff found on Ummagumma. (@192) Links in Comments

I'm dragging this one down off the internets as we speak, but genuflections to you in advance, and thanks for "rescuing" it from Big O, where the quality of posts is matched only by the brevity of their availability!

Rheumy-eyed reminiscence: seeing the Floyd in '67, at the Marquee, where everything (including Hendrix and the Move - what a bill!) was too loud for my young ears.
